MYOBRACE + ORTHODONTICS · CERTIFIED MYOBRACE PROVIDER

Myobrace treatment
in Dubai.

Move the teeth. Train the habits. Plan for stability.

I look at how your teeth fit together and how your tongue, lips and swallowing function around them. When a relevant habit or functional problem persists, I may add Myobrace and prescribed activities during or after orthodontic treatment—with retainers and review planned from the start.

The idea behind my approach

The teeth move. Their everyday surroundings still matter.

Your tongue rests inside the dental arches; your lips and cheeks surround them. Their posture and activity form part of the environment influencing tooth position, alongside the supporting tissues, bite, eruption and growth. What happens repeatedly at rest deserves attention as well as what happens during an exercise.

My approach brings the two jobs together: orthodontic appliances correct the assessed tooth and bite relationships; selected functional training addresses a documented tongue, lip or swallowing problem. I use Myobrace as an adjunct when it has a clear role, then check whether the trained behaviour carries over into ordinary life.

Orthodontic mechanics and relevant oral-function work address different parts of one treatment plan. Educational illustration—not a patient result.
01

Correct the tooth and bite relationships

Braces, aligners or a functional appliance have an assessed orthodontic job. Their design and sequence follow your diagnosis.

02

Address the relevant functional pattern

Selected Myobrace support and prescribed activities may work on tongue posture, lip function or swallowing alongside that orthodontic job.

03

Carry it into everyday life

A coached exercise is only a beginning. I review what happens at rest and in daily function, alongside tooth position and retention.

01 · Everyday functionTongue: where it rests

I assess the tongue body as well as the tip, available space and comfortable movement. Touching the palate on command is different from returning to a useful resting posture naturally.

02 · Everyday functionLips: comfortable closure

I look for relaxed lip posture, strain and compensating muscle activity. If comfortable nasal breathing is difficult, the cause needs assessment before training closed-mouth posture.

03 · Everyday functionCheeks: the surrounding environment

The cheeks contribute to the soft-tissue environment around the arches. I consider their function together with the tongue, lips, arch form and the tooth movements being planned.

04 · Everyday functionSwallowing: understand the pattern

A tongue-thrust pattern prompts assessment of rest posture and the bite. It may contribute to a problem, help maintain it or adapt to an existing gap; the finding needs interpretation.

Where it can fit

Support at the stage
you actually need it.

The functional task has its own goal, while the orthodontic plan stays clear.

During braces

Braces may be aligning teeth or correcting the bite while a relevant functional habit still needs work. I may prescribe a braces-compatible Myobrace appliance and activities for that separate task. Fit around the actual brackets, wires and auxiliaries is checked and reviewed as treatment changes.

The manufacturer offers braces-compatible designs, but the fit must be checked for your actual brackets, wires, hooks, elastics and retainers. A standard appliance is not automatically suitable for every orthodontic system.

After the active treatment

Keeping the result
is a continuing plan.

Three complementary jobs—not one appliance expected to do everything.

01

Prescribed retainers

A deliberate plan to hold the tooth positions that matter, with fit and integrity checked over time.

02

Relevant functional maintenance

Continue the selected habit and posture work when indicated, checking that it transfers beyond coached practice.

03

Clinical review

Monitor alignment, the bite, growth or eruption, comfort and changing needs; adapt the plan when the findings change.

What the evidence supports. Functional assessment has a clinical rationale, and the manufacturer offers appliances intended for use alongside orthodontics. Evidence remains insufficient to promise that adding Myobrace or myofunctional therapy will prevent relapse. The treatment goal, appliance compatibility and retention plan are assessed individually.

Clear answers

Before you
decide.

Is Myobrace only for young children?

No. I may consider functional assessment and selected adjunctive care for children, teenagers or adults. Each patient needs a clear indication and an appropriate appliance.

Can I use Myobrace while wearing braces?

Some products are designed to accommodate braces. The actual combination must be approved and fitted by the clinician controlling your tooth movement; a generic appliance is not automatically compatible.

Does correcting habits guarantee that teeth stay straight?

No. Long-term stability has several influences. Addressing a relevant functional problem is one part of my plan, alongside appropriate retainers and follow-up.

Can Myobrace replace my retainer?

Do not stop your prescribed retainer yourself. A functional appliance may have a different job and may not control individual tooth positions precisely enough for your result.

How will we know the extra treatment is useful?

We agree on the functional target, teach the routine and compare findings at review. I assess comfort, actual use, everyday carryover and unwanted tooth or bite changes.

How long does adjunctive Myobrace treatment take?

The programme depends on the functional target, appliance suitability and how the routine carries into daily life. We agree on review points and adjust the plan according to your response.

What does Myobrace treatment cost in Dubai?

After assessing your bite and oral function, I explain the recommended appliance, activities, review schedule and case-specific fee.
